Another pair of Season 1 BatIM CoC audiologs!

They found Henry’s first log where he apparently misplaced it near the fortune teller who asked Joey if he’d like his fortune told this time (the answer was an enthusiastic yes despite Sammy’s best attempts to the contrary), and Thomas’ log they found in the hotel safe after convincing the strangely hesitant front desk person that Sammy should in fact be allowed to check the safe for the room he’d been booked to stay in.

Still fairly normal so far, though maybe a bit more worrying…

Voice of THOMAS CONNOR: My bosses tell me this job’s a test run that could land me a long term position supporting some “new inno- vative collaboration” down the line with Joey Drew Studios.

Gotta say, I have my doubts.

I’m a mechanic, but so far all I’m doing is signing off on deliveries and playing errand boy. I dunno why they sent all this stuff in JDS marked crates, but I guess I don’t get paid to ask those questions.

Guess I won’t ask what this weird oily knife thing the importer gave me for Drew is, either. People seemed way too interested in it, that’s for sure. I swear I saw some of the warehouse workers tailing me after I left. I think I shook ’em, but I’m glad to have handed it off. Thing gives me the creeps.

Voice of HENRY: What is going on?

This trip already felt off what with the Studio barely having its feet under it. Do we really have this kind of money? Plus the whole time Joey’s been more focused on getting his fortune told and some weird souvenir he picked up than on research for the next cartoon.

And now Thomas Connor is missing. It was strange enough Joey brought him at all, especially with those rumors of GENT arming both sides in Haiti some months back.

What was Joey thinking?

I can’t help but worry there’s something more going on here, but right now, the important thing is to find Mr. Connor.
